Foothills Firearms Training seeks to deliver the highest quality courses in a safe, friendly, and accommodating environment. Since being founded in 2020, FFT has trained over 4400 students as of Dec 2025. Previous clients include Government of Alberta staff, Banff National Park staff, Junior Forest Rangers, and thousands of individuals seeking to become licensed.
Chief Instructor and company founder David has been an educator and trainer in both the public and private sectors for over 20 years, in fields and disciplines like Standard First Aid courses, swimming instructor and lifeguarding trainer, and firearm handling. His achievements include attaining “Rifleman” status in Project Mapleseed’s marksmanship clinic, Range Safety Officer and Holster Safety certifications.
His interest in firearms spans over 30 years. His experience is extensive in the fields of:
